The largest shade pushes the limits of glassblowing technology and exhibits Bohemian glassmakers' skill and craftsmanship.
This is a key Brokis collection. The three-size Balloon lights are sculptural when off. The screen's glass was produced separately and then assembled. Mouth-blown glass is paired with a hand-shaped copper reflector.
Hygge Cave's Balloon Table Lamp is based on the expertise and centuries-old tradition of master glassmakers.
Handblown glass is preferable to the alternatives because it has a unique, enduring character.
Each lamp's glass shade is produced from several layers of molten glass that the master glassmaker painstakingly inspects before blowing into a mould.
The process of building and moulding the wood greatly influences the ultimate quality of each lamp. No less attention to detail is applied when making the wooden components.
Each artwork is produced carefully and methodically through several steps.
Components & Finishes
The transparent glass bulb is available in clear, smoky grey, brown, black-tinted, or ash finishes. It is also possible to vary the internal reflector, which changes the colour temperature of the light (the ratio of blue to yellow). Other choices include brass and copper with green undertones to simulate candlelight in dining rooms and open kitchens, white (for a softer glow), lemon yellow, and reflecting orange. It is also renowned for arousing emotions of warmth and elegance by conjuring up images of bygone eras.
One E14-shaped, 4.7-watt LED with a colour temperature of 2200 Kelvin and a lumen output of 400 comes with a small version.
The Medium/Large version has a 1 x E27 - 6W LED with a 2200K colour temperature and 500LM dimmable light.
Studying the design of earlier art movements and artists may be necessary, but you don't have to restrict your sources of inspiration to them. This table lamp is a great illustration since it has a classic design aesthetic. It takes a straightforward design and gives it some minor refinements, like strong colours and clean lines, to keep it from being excessive. When something is so plain and uncluttered that you can't help but be in awe of its beauty, this is where design gets its beauty.
