In the vibrant heart of New York, a unique collaboration unfolded in late 2018 when director Bing Ju crossed paths with artist Emily and her husband Wolf. Both Emily and Wolf bring a wealth of international experience and a profound admiration for Eastern philosophy, a connection that immediately resonated with Bing’s own passion for Asian culture. This meeting ignited a creative spark that would evolve into a six-year journey of designing a residence and studio that embodies both artistic spirit and cultural harmony.

A Vision Rooted in Cultural Harmony

The project began as a conversation about a new home, but it quickly grew into a thoughtful exploration of how space can reflect philosophy and lifestyle. The residence was envisioned not just as a living area but as a sanctuary where art and life intertwine. Drawing inspiration from Eastern principles of balance and simplicity, the design team sought to create a home that harmonizes with its surroundings while serving as a functional studio space for Emily’s creative work.

The design approach embraced minimalism without sacrificing warmth or character. Clean lines and an open floor plan invite natural light to flow freely, enhancing the sense of calm throughout the home.
