CRACKS RUG

The Mad Men collection  shows  a surface of cracked ice , as on the ice rink of Rockefeller Square. It also represents the world below the surface, the  deep blue of the abyss , the  darkness of the mineshaft with the lode of gold  at the bottom, or the far corners of  a pinewood forest . The Madison men were  the golden boys of the sixties , who “dreamed up” the images of the iconic brands of the USA. Inspired by this theme,  Louis De Poortere  has created a new collection of  “Vintage sixties” rugs . A mix of straight and broken lines, of dull and shining yarns, of smooth and ragged pencil strokes.
